Classic juicy hamburgers perfect for weeknight dinners

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion for toppings

Instructions

  1. Form ground beef into 4 equal patties
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper
  3. Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat
  4. Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side for medium
  5. Add cheese in last minute if using
  6. Toast buns lightly
  7. Assemble burgers with desired toppings

Notes

Don't press down on patties while cooking
