Crispy-skinned chicken thighs lacquered in a sticky, sweet-spicy honey sriracha glaze. Ready in under 35 minutes with just a handful of pantry ingredients — big flavor with very little effort, loved by kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
- 4-6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and garlic in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and sear for 5-6 minutes until skin is golden and crispy.
- Flip the chicken and brush generously with the honey sriracha glaze.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-22 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F, brushing with more glaze halfway through.
- Brush with remaining glaze and broil on high for 2-3 minutes for extra caramelization, watching closely.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve with steamed rice.
Notes
Adjust sriracha to your family's heat preference — 1 tbsp for mild, 2 for medium, 3 for spicy. Boneless thighs work great too (reduce cook time by 5 minutes). Serve with steamed rice and roasted broccoli.
